The hugely popular and controversial Screentime series, Underbelly, brought a darker tone to Australian crime drama. The original series evolved into several miniseries including Tale of Two Cities, Golden mile, Underbelly: Files, Badness and period spinoffs Razor and Squizzy.

 

Chroma provided VFX for the entire series franchise and thousands of shots were produced over the six years with regular use of live action augmentation and CG integration. Our team worked closely with multiple departments to help deliver production design enhancements for locations, set pieces and stunts.

 

This role extended to the design of the highly recognisable Underbelly brand and title sequence production for all 7 productions, including New Zealand incarnation ‘Land of the Long Green Cloud’.
