Set in Melbourne between the 1950’s and 1970’s, ‘The King’ follows the rise of one of Australia's best loved TV personalities, Graham Kennedy (Stephen Curry). Directed by Matthew Saville and produced by Fremantle Media, The King is a bittersweet tale of fame and the isolation it brings. Shot in S16, The King oozes Saville's visual style of emotional storytelling with an intrinsically Australian flavour.

 

Chroma created over 100 VFX shots for the feature bringing 1950 studio equipment and cameras to life and constructing several montage sequences. The opening titles were also produced by Chroma.
