Squizzy

Miniseries, Screentime / Nine Network 6x1hr

Produced by Peter Gawler & Elisa Argenzio

Screentime’s Squizzy is a historical spinoff from the Underbelly series that covers the exploits of notorious 1920’s gangster Squizzy Taylor. Chroma’s team created over 600 shots for the series ranging from complex set extensions to the hundreds of cleanups required to allow them to shoot in modern locations.

Squizzy utilised an integrated approach to production design and visual effects, with CG set extensions and dressing requirements planned in pre-production to create dense historic scenes from simple public locations and partial sets.

The live action opening titles were also designed and produced by Chroma in addition to animated narrative sequences that appear throughout the series.
