Southern Star’s long running police drama put heavy emphasis on fast paced stunts and a multi-camera documentary style. Chroma produced thousands of shots across the four seasons, working closely with stunts, vehicles, armourers and practical departments to create incredible action sequences with safety. Chroma’s quick turnaround and unique ability to integrate effects enhancements into unstructured, handheld coverage were a perfect fit for the productions gruelling 26 episode schedule.

 

Some specific sequences included CG vehicles for car chases sequences, police helicopters, commercial jets and rail stock. Weapons fire, bullet hits, grenades and explosions were common requests and included dynamic simulation of glass, smoke and stunt vehicles.
